How We Curate

Most "best tours in [city]" lists are one of two things: pay-to-play placements, or content written by someone who has never sold a tour in their life. This site is neither, and here's the standard every listing has to meet.

Every tour is verified live before it appears.
I check the actual booking page — the tour exists, it's operating, it's bookable. Discontinued and dead listings don't linger here.
Ratings and review counts are real.
The numbers you see come from the booking platform itself. Nothing is invented, rounded up, or "estimated."
Review evidence has a floor.
I look at three things before a tour earns a slot: the quality of its reviews, how many it has, and how recent they are. A high rating with a handful of reviews isn't evidence — it's a coin flip. Where a category has no tour that clears the bar, you'll see an honest "booking soon" instead of a weak pick padding out the page.
Every recommendation is dated.
Each curated listing carries the date it was last reviewed, so you know how fresh the judgment is.
Selection follows fit.
Tours are chosen for how well they match what you're actually searching for — nothing else decides what ranks.

How this site makes money: when you book through a link here, the operator or booking platform pays a commission. It costs you nothing, and it never buys a placement. Some listings feature USA Guided Tours, the DC and NYC operator where I serve as VP of Sales & Marketing — that relationship is disclosed on the About page and doesn't exempt those tours from the same standards.
